| Who am I? |
I was born May 26, 1907, the son of Clyde and Mary Morrison. Though born in Iowa, my family moved early in my life to California. I applied for admission to the Naval Academy, but narrowly missed the appointment, so I left my dog "Duke" and headed to USC to play football. I got my start in Hollywood when I traded football tickets to a western legend for a summer job as a prop man. Though I didn't join the Navy, I was a "Green Beret" and also served at the "Alamo". I only won one Oscar, but when I died on June 11, 1979, I was considered a legend. Who am I?
