Sulphur Bluff CC competes at Lone Oak

Oct. 20, 2008 - Sulphur Bluff attended the Lone Oak Cross Country Meet, Saturday, October 18, 2008. The varsity boys team took second place. Everett Wilder won first place with a time of 17:51. Coming in fourth for Sulphur Bluff was Trey Henderson with a time of 18:47. Others running a tightracefor the Bear team were Zach Hope, 10th, 19:47; Ryan Watts, 12th, 19:52; Ken Wade, 13th, 20:05; and Josh Formoso.

For the junior varsity boys: Cameron Hancock placed 13th also competing were Landon Overly and Jackson Dailley.

Fatima Tellez placed 14th for the junior varsity girls team with a time of 15:59.

Sulphur Bluff junior high bears were Clint Wolf, 6th place, 13:10; Cade Argenbright with a time of 15:12;Landon Dorner, 15:14; and Tyler Curtiss

and Brandon Lee.

Cumby hosts Fruitvale in Volleball

CUMBY - Cumby took all three matches against the Fruitvale Lady Bobcats on Friday with final tallies of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-14. For the district Cumby is undefeated with a 9-0 district record and 22-4 overall.

Cumby will host Miller Grove on Oct. 21st with jv starting at 5 p.m.

"This is a big varsity matchup. Miller Groveonly district loss was to Cumby. We are going to"Jam the gym" on Tuesday night." said Cumby head volleyball coach Renee Morris.
