Game Notes: Mt Pleasant vs Wildcats

Oct. 17, 2008 - Mount Pleasant slowed down the passing attack of Tyrick Rollison, but the Tigers couldn't stop it.

The junior quarterback for the Sulphur Springs Wildcats had a season-low 153 yards passing last Friday, but still eclipsed the single-season touchdown mark by throwing a pair of scoring passes, the first to DaQualin Evans and the next to Jeff Beck.

That gives Rollison 22 touchdowns passes for the year, breaking the two-year-old record set by Logan Turner of 20.

Rollison, who has completed 159-of-228 passes for 1,915 yards and six interceptions, is on pace to break virtually all of the SSHS single-season passing records. With at least four games left in the season, Rollison should break the mark for most yards and most completions in the next two games.

On his current pace, he would also break the school mark for best completion percentage (he's at 69.7 percent) and lowest interception percentage (0.0264 percent).
