June 17, 2008 - The bible of Texas high school football has hit the news stands and there are no great surprises among the area districts.
Dave Campbell's Texas Football predicts winners in all districts in the state and highlights each team's top players.
In area districts (not including Hopkins County schools), Texas Football's predictions didn't raise many eyebrows.
Neighboring 4A district picks included state runner-up Highland Park and Rockwall, dropping down from Class 5A, in District 10-4A. In 14-4A, Whitehouse, with blue chip quarterback Brady Attaway, and Kilgore are the predicted teams to beat.
Paris and North Lamar, which both dropped down from Class 4A, are the teams to beat in District 10-3A, in which no team last year had a winning record. Farmersville, the defending Class 2A state champion, is expected to win District 13-3A, followed by Emory Rains, while state-ranked Liberty-Eylau is predicted to reign in District 16-3A.
A breakdown of districts for Cumby, Como-Pickton and Sulphur Springs will be coming in the next week.
