NH girls edge Dodd City

Feb. 25, 2008 - BIRTHRIGHT - North Hopkins improved to 3-4 on the year with a come-from-behind 6-5 win over Dodd City on Friday.

Jessica Harry pitched a complete game, giving up five runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts and four walks.

"Jessica held on for the win and she was able to battle throughout," said NHHS coach Jim Westbrook.

Ashley Deaton went 2-for-2 with an RBI, while Cayla Newkirk went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Harry, Tana Hall and Brandi Loper each went 1-for-3. Harry and Hall also had RBIs in the game.

The Lady Panthers travel to Winnsboro at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
