NH girls fall to Honey Grove

From Staff Reports

Feb. 20, 2008 - The North Hopkins Lady Panthers fell to Honey Grove, 2-1, on Tuesday in softball action.

NH starting pitcher Jessica Harry gave up a home run to the Honey Grove pitcher in the first inning, but otherwise had a solid outing with six strikeouts, three hits and three walks.

"Jessica Harry kept batters off balance after the first inning," said NHHS coach Jim Westbrook. "We were not able to get the clutch hit when we needed it. Overall we played well during the game."

The Lady Panthers (2-4) will host Dodd City at 4 p.m. Friday.
