Bids taken for final ticket

From Staff Reports

Aug. 12, 2008 - If you haven't purchased a season ticket for Wildcat football games this year, now's your opportunity. But the one final seat will be costly.

Only one seat remains among the season tickets - Section D, Row 6, Seat 18 - and bids are being taken to see who will sit in it.

A silent auction is being conducted for the last season ticket along with a Wildcat stadium cushion and a reserved parking place, all of which is valued at $120. Bid slips can be filled out at Fieldhouse Sports before 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Wildcat Booster Club, and the winner's name will be announced at 10 a.m. Saturday during the preseason scrimmage against Greenville at Gerald Prim Stadium.

Not only will the top bidder receive the ticket, stadium seat and reserved parking spot, he or she will also have the satisfaction of being the person who sold out the stadium. School officials believe it will be the first time in Wildcat history that all season tickets have been sold. They think at least a few single tickets have remained in past years.
