MG’s Bailey signs offer to play college volleyball

April 20, 2008 - Miller Grove senior Natalie Bailey was rewarded for her prowess on the volleyball court last week when she signed a scholarship offer from Sterling College in Sterling, Kan.

Bailey, the daughter of Mike and Linda Bailey, was named the District 18-A Most Valuable Player her senior year and also earned All-State honors from the Texas Girls Coaches Association. Bailey received First Team All-District her freshman and sophomore seasons and was named the district's Offensive Player of the Year her junior year.

In addition, she was an FFA officer her junior and senior years and earned her FFA Lone Star Degree. As a senior, she was also awarded Best Actress at the district and the area levels of the UIL One Act Play competition.

Bailey plans to attend Paris Junior College this summer, before moving to Sterling. There, she plans are to pursue a major in the performing arts with a teaching and coaching certification.
