Oct. 31, 2007 - With at least two games left in the season, and hopefully more, the Sulphur Springs pass offense continues to rewrite the record books.
SSHS junior quarterback Tyrick Rollison surpassed Ryan Henry and Logan Turner last week to claim school records for most yards passing in a single season (2,711) and most completions (212). Rollison also holds the mark for the most TD passes in a season (27) and best completion percentage (70.7).
Rollison is also in the top three all-time in several career categories including most yards, most completions and most touchdowns.
Senior wide receiver Chris Thompson gained a share of the school record with his ninth TD catch of the season, and senior receiver Jeff Beck will likely move into the top three all-time in most receptions. Beck has 55 catches this year and 92 in his two-year varsity career. The record for most career receptions is held by Josh Riley (2004-05) with 104.
Defensively, the Wildcats have 18 interceptions, which is just three shy of the 1993 school record of 21.
