Cadena wins two races for NH

Mar. 23, 2007 - PARIS - North Hopkins distance runner Jose Cadena took home two first-place medals and Roger Sancho placed in three events Thursday at the Chisum track meet.

Cadena won both the 1,600-meter run in a time of 4 minutes, 59 seconds, and the 3,200-meters in 11:15.

Following Cadena in the metric mile were Jesus Delgado in third in a time of 5:05 and Pedro Gonzalez one place behind in 5:07. Delgado and Gonzales also finished third and fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:14 and 2:15, respectively.

Sancho, meanwhile, won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.06 seconds and placed second in 300 meters in 42.46 seconds. He also was fourth in the long jump with a 19-7 leap.

Jesus Casas took fourth in the 3,200 in 12:44.
