Saltillo stays unbeaten in district

Dec. 17, 2007 - Saltillo won a pair of games against Dodd City on Friday, and stayed unbeaten in district with two early wins.

Girls

Saltillo 57, Dodd City 33

Stephanie Methe led the No. 1-ranked Lady Lions with 18 points, while teammate Winter Johnson added 16 points.

Saltillo held a 27-18 lead at the half and a 45-25 lead after three quarters.

The Lady Lions are now 15-2 overall and 2-0 in District 22-A, Div. II.

A 15-2 run by Saltillo in the second quarter put the Lions in control of the game on Friday.

Kenneth Poor scored a game-high 20 points, while Jocsan Gamez added 18 points and Steven Mobley scored 11 points for the Lions.

Saltillo is now 2-0 in District 22-A, Div. II.
