Aug. 14, 2007 - The Wildcats worked a little individual special teams this morning, with Brittan Diamond and Oscar Marroquin doing the varsity punting. ... Varsity deep snappers are Dalton Abner and Johnny McSheffery, with Daniel Dixon as the JV deep snapper.

... The offensive line is one of the more unknown positions in terms of personnel, especially with a couple of injuries knocking players out of practice time, but the Wildcats could line up with a pair of 6-foot, 6-inch tackles: junior Colton Nash and sophomore Beau Carpenter. ... If you're looking for a wide receiver who will block, diminutive JV player Jacob Corona will get your attention.

... While the football team is practicing in the morning, a steady stream of runners go by - the boys and girls cross country squads, followed by cheerleaders and drill team members. Meanwhile, the tennis team is across the road and the volleyball squad is in the gym. Come out tomorrow morning, and you'll also be able to catch the SSHS marching band, which moves its practices from afternoons to mornings on Wednesdays.
