Wildcat freshman split district games

April 12, 2007 - The Sulphur Springs freshmen Wildcats split a pair of games in the last week, losing to North Lamar but blasting Mount Pleasant.

Jace Jackson hit a pair of home runs and a double, walked once and scored four times to lead the offensive assault. Jayden Wallace added two hits, three runs and three walks from the lead-off spot.
The Wildcats scored 16 runs in the top of the first to set the pace.
Daniel Rosales pitched three shutout innings, striking out three, while Chasen Folmar threw one scoreless frame.
Defensively, second baseman Brandon Harry and shortstop Grayson North combined in a double play to end the third inning.
North Lamar 4, SSHS 2
PARIS - The Wildcats made a pair of errors in North Lamar's four-run first inning, and offensively never could get the big hit to overcome the mistakes.
Kolten Jones was the hard-luck loser on the mound. He threw a complete-game and didn't allow a runner to reach base after the first inning. He struck out six, walked two and allowed three hits.
Wallace went 3-for-3 at the plate with a run, Ben Barrows added two hits, and Jackson had a hit and a run-scoring sacrifice.
