SSMS ends season with a split

Oct. 25, 2006 - The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats middle school volleyball team split their two games against North Lamar Monday night.

The "A" team won by scores of 27-25, 23-25, 26-24 as Ariel Spataro had 13 serves and Frankeisha Hawkins had 11 points. Hawkins also had 12 hits and three kills.

Emily Mason and Ashton Hale had 12 passes each, while teammate Kara Tomlinson had 12 sets. Tkea Johnson had 10 hits and five kills.

In the "B" team game, SSMS lost 27-25, 25-20, 27-25 as Mallory Rawson had 13 points, while Candace Wilks had five points and Elise Torres had five points.
