Nov. 16, 2006 - After picking up their first win of the season on Tuesday, the Sulphur Springs Wildcats game against the Bonham Warriors scheduled for Friday has been canceled.

The two teams were scheduled to face each other at Wildcat Gym in the Wildcats' home opener, but the Bonham volleyball team is in the UIL state tournament this weekend at San Marcos.

SSHS head coach Rusty Harden is trying to round up a game for Saturday, but if he's not successful then the team will play in the Crandall Shootout Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday in Crandall, the SSHS varsity plays Rockwall Heath at 5 p.m. The freshmen will play Commerce at 3:30 p.m. and the junior varsity faces Rockwall Heath at 5:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, the Wildcats will play district rival Paris at 8:30 p.m. in Crandall. The junior varsity faces Kemp at 6:30, while the freshmen take on Forney at 8 p.m.

The Wildcats' next home game is scheduled for Dec. 15 against Nevada Community.
