Stinson win both distance races at Fox Relays

March 25, 2006 - CADDO MILLS - Como-Pickton sophomore Bethanie Stinson won both of her distance races to lead the the Como-Pickton girls track team to a fourth-place finish in the Fox Relays.

Stinson won both of her races in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5 minutes, 37.13 seconds and ran a personal best in the 3,200 with a clocking of 11:48.

Teammate Samantha Jones competed in four events and finished first in the triple jump at 32-5, second in the 100-meter dash at 13.07, third in the long jump at 14-7 1/4 and fifth in the 400 at 1:07.84.

Deanna Garrett had a personal best in the pole-vault at 8-3 for a second place finish. Teammate Shelby Harrison finished sixth in the pole vault at 7-0, and in the shot put, freshman Maci Kight was  sixth with a throw of 28-5.

Royse City won the relays with 197 points, followed by Nevada Community with 96 points, Princeton with 92 points and Como-Pickton with 56 points.
