SSMS girls sweep Paris

Jan. 7, 2006 - The SS Middle School girls eight-grade beat Paris on Thursday in both games.

In the "A" game, SSMS overcame a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Paris, 37-31.

Jamonica Hall had an all-around solid game with 11 points, five rebounds and two steals, and Stephanie Pruitt had 10 points and four steals. Chasity Hall led the team in rebounding with seven to go with three steals, while Mac Morgan and Maurie Lewis each scored six points. The "A" team is 4-2 in district.

In the "B" game, Mia Taylor led the squad with six points and four steals, while Linsey Fouse had six steals and four points. Spencer Martin added four points and Kayla Phillips had two.

The Lady Cats host Mount Pleasant on Jan. 12.
