Sulphur Springs middle school "A" team in first place

Oct. 19, 2005 - The Sulphur Springs Middle School "A" team moved into first place in District 12-4A with a three-game win over North Lamar, while the "B" team won in two games over North Lamar.

The "A" team won by scores of 25-22, 24-26, 25-21, while the "B" team won by scores of 25-22, 25-23.

In the "A" team game, Maurie Lewis had 14 service points, Spencer Martin had eight points, 13 sets and six kills, and Jamonica Hall had eight points and five kills. Mia Taylor led the team in passes to the setter with 10, while Mac Morgan added five. Bailey Speaker recorded two kills.

In the "B" team game, Stephanie Pruitt had 16 service points and Morgan Lamp had four points.

The middle school teams wrap up the season Monday night against Greenville.
