Tyndell and Thomas win Overall Male and Female at annual "Milk Run"

June 15, 2005 - Tyler Tyndell and Sabra Thomas received First Overall Male and Female during the 5-kilometer and 1K "Milk Run" held at the Hopkins County Civic Center grounds Saturday during the Dairy Festival.

Tyndell, who just completed his junior year at Paris High School, ran a time of 16 minutes, 12 seconds in the 5K. He edged out Sulphur Springs sophomore Graham Northcutt by 24 seconds. Last year, the pair finished in reverse order.

Northcutt was the first member of his family to finish the race. His mother, Karen Northcutt, was third in the masters division, while his father, Eddie Northcutt, won the 40-49 division.

Thomas, who will be a junior at North Hopkins, finished the race in 21:47 as 87 participants took part. She beat out second-place Wendy Wintermute, who crossed the line in 22:30.

Tim Islay and Cynthia Thomas received first place honors in the masters categories.

In addition to the Northcutts, several other families had multiple winners as well. Tate Ramirez finished second in the male 12-15 division while sister Madison won the under-12 female and mother Sabrina was second in the 30-39 division. Kay McMeans was second in the 40-49 female group, husband Dwayne was third in 40-49, and son-in-law Andy Holt was third in the 20-29 group. Donnie Martin placed second in the 40-49 division, and son-in-law Bobby Peckham was second in 20-29.
