SSMS tennis players rewarded scholarships
From Staff Reports

May 8, 2005 - A pair of Sulphur Springs Middle School tennis players have been awarded scholarships by the United State Tennis Association to attend camps this summer.

Zach Adams, who just finished the seventh grade, and Shelby Blezinger, who completed the eighth grade, were awarded the scholarships by the Texas Section of the USTA. They submitted an application to Justin Tobin at USTA and were subsequently picked from hundreds of applications because of their love for and interest in tennis.

Adams will be attending the University of Texas Longhorn Tennis Camp, where he will spend a week to learn and improve his tennis skills.

Blezinger will be attending Nike Tennis Academy at St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
