Como-Pickton beats Saltillo

It was the Como-Pickton Eagles who won Tuesday's game, beating Saltillo, 37-32, rather than the reverse which was reported in Wednesday's edition.

The Eagles improved to 7-3, the most wins in a season in three years, by grabbing 50 total rebounds. They had three players who had double-figure rebounding efforts, led by Reece Caddell with 16, Bo Baxter with 15 and Josh Telfer with 10.

Clayton Humphrey led the Eagles in scoring with 16 points to go with four rebounds. Baxter scored eight points and came up with two steals and two assists, Caddell scored seven points and also had two steals and two assists, and Telfer scored six points to go with two assists.

Saltillo was led in scoring by Miles Payne and B.J. Hankins with six points each.
