ATVA championships set for Brashear

Oct. 15, 2004 - BRASHEAR - Round seven of the ATVA Grand National Championships are scheduled for this weekend at Bullet Raceway on County Road 1112 in Brashear.

Amateur and professional races will be held on Saturday.

Race registration starts today from 2-8 p.m., with practices set for 5-8 p.m. There are 17 amateur classifications.

Tomorrow, registration begins at 8 a.m., with practices to start 30 minutes later. Amateur heats will begin after practices and mains will begin immediately after heats. The pro and pro/am heats and mains will begin at 7 p.m.

Entry fees are $40 plus gate fee for amateurs and $100 plus gate fee for pros. The gate fee is $8 for general admission, $6 for 6-12 year olds, and free for under six.

To get to the raceway, go west on Interstate 30 to Brashear, and take the 116 exit. Head south 1/2 mile to CR 2653, turn left and go 1 1/2 miles to CR 1112. Take an right and the track is ahead on the right.
