Miller Grove holds off Boles

Nov. 23, 2004 - QUINLAN - Behind 19 points from Frank Weaver and a double-double from Lucas Kerby, the Miller Grove Hornets held off a late charge by the Quinlan Boles Horney for a 68-62 win Monday night.

Coach Travis Matthews' team is now 1-3 on the season and will travel to Yantis tonight for a varsity contest.

"It was a great game which was up and down," Matthews said. "Fortunately, we were able to hold off a late charge by Boles to get the win, and we are starting to gel as a team."

Kerby recorded 12 points and 15 rebounds for Miller Grove, Ben Whillock added 13 points and four rebounds, and Grayson Wing with 10 points and five rebounds in the win.

Cleveland scored a game-high 21 points for Boles, along with 17 points from Winters.
