King earns All-American honors

March 27, 2004 -- Baylor senior Kyle King earned All-American track honors following his performance at the NCAA Indoor Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.

King, the son of Chuck and Lynette King of Sulphur Springs, had the seventh-best time among Americans in the indoor season in the 3,000 meters.

An All-Big 12 performer the last two seasons, this was the first All-American honor for King, a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School.

He opens the outdoor season this weekend as he is running at Stanford University.
