Pewitt downs Cooper, 34-18

August 28, 2004 - OMAHA - The Paul Pewitt Brahmas downed the Cooper Bulldogs 34-18 Friday night in Zero Week action.

The Bulldogs were led by Ron Morris with 44 yards rushing and one touchdown to get them to within two points at the half, 14-12.

Cooper had a hard time containing Paul Pewitt running back Matt Hall, who recorded three touchdowns on the night to put the game out of reach in the rematch of last year's bi-district playoff matchup.

Paul Pewitt had 297-yards rushing in the game with Jesse Harrison leading the way for the Brahmas. He had 149-yards on 26 carries and one touchdown in the game.

The Brahmas had 321-yards of offense to end the night, compared to 229-yards for the Bulldogs.

Randee Lewis went eight of 17 passing for 137 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception for the Bulldogs.

Coach Lance Angel's squad is now 0-1 and will travel to Howe next week for a contest with the Bulldogs. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
