Weaver strikes out 17 for Hornets

April 30, 2004 -- WOLFE CITY -- James Weaver scored on a double steal in the second inning, while Frank Weaver made the run last in a 1-0 season-ending victory over Wolfe City.

Frank Weaver struck out 17 of 21 batters while allowing only two hits, including a bunt single in the fifth inning.

James Weaver led off the second with a single to left and moved 90 feet with a passed ball. Weaver advanced to third on Randy Rainey's sacrifice bunt. Billy Giles walked, before Weaver's stolen base.

Rainey, James Weaver and Lee Roy Stracener all went 1-for-3 for the Hornets (10-7, 7-5).
