|Cumby sets up showdown with Celeste|

April 26, 2004 -- CUMBY -- Senior southpaw Mika Robertson not only threw a shutout Friday in Cumby's 10-0 win over Campbell, he also went 4-for-4 at the plate including an RBI double.
The win put the Trojans (12-5 overall, 8-3 in District 14-1A) in a second-place tie with Celeste, setting up a showdown on Thursday for the final playoff spot. The game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in Celeste with the winner advancing and the loser's season ending.
On Friday, Robertson improved his pitching record to 7-1 by striking out five in three innings of work. Senior John Bendall, making his first district appearance on the mound, worked the final three innings by not allowing a baserunner and striking out seven, in a game shortened by the run rule.
Offensively, the Trojans had 13 hits as every starter in the lineup contributed at least one hit. Justin Taylor was 2-for-3 with a double, and Steven Boss had an RBI double.
