King leads Baylor relay to third

April 8, 2004 -- AUSTIN -- Sulphur Springs' Kyle King led the Baylor distance medley relay team to a third-place finish at the 77th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays last week.

King anchored the relay, which finished in a time of 9 minutes, 43.17 seconds. It was an all-Texas small-town foursome comprised of Bo Price of Atlanta, Joel Martin of Stephenville and Will Fitts of Desoto.

King is the SSHS school record holder in the 3,200-meter run and was named All-American for this indoor season in the 3,000 meters.
