Funeral services for Jerry Ken Patterson, 65, of Jefferson, TX were held at 10 AM, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 in Haggard-Heaster Chapel with the Rev. S.E. Stiles officiating.

Committal service with military honors were held at 2 PM at Tira Cemetery, Tira, TX, with Rev. Don Shaw officiating.

Mr. Patterson died Jan. 14, 2006 in Jefferson, TX. He was born Oct. 17, 1940 in Tira, TX the son of Nancy Elizabeth and William Wilson Patterson.

Mr. Patterson served in the Army for over 10 years where he served in Korea and The Dominican Republic. Was a member of the Airborne, 101st Division, and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Patterson was in the grocery business in Jefferson and Smithland for the past 30 years. Prior to that he was a sales manager for Oak Farms Dairy, Southland Corporation in Houston, TX. Mr. Patterson lived in Jefferson for over 30 years.

Survivors include: wife, Beth Patterson of Jefferson; daughter, Missy Baldwin and husband Scott of Jefferson; sons, Carlos E. Dunlap and wife Pat of Grove, OK, James Dunlap and wife Nancy of Austin, TX, Larry Dunlap of Jefferson, TX, Michael Dunlap and wife Shirley of Jefferson, TX; grandchildren,? Zachery Scott Baldwin, Ethan Dunlap, Julie Dunlap, Kathy Dunlap, Michelle Dunlap, and Trey Dunlap; great grandson, Randy Dunlap; great grand-daughter, Haley Legrande; brother, Bennie Patterson and wife Elaine; sister, Norma Goggans and husband L.J.; special niece, Kayla Studer; numerous other nieces, nephews and family.

Serving as pallbearers were Ralph Slaven, Antone Hamm, Tommy Coker, Shane Hunnington, Norris ?Tit? Perkins, and Willis Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers were Audie Whatley, Garland West, Gary Wester, Danny Wester and Jim Carroll.
