Lucy Davis

Funeral services for Lucy Davis, 82, of Yantis will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, in Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Weems officiating.

Interment will follow in Yantis Cemetery with Mrs. Davis? grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Davis died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at her residence.

She was born in Wood County on March 7, 1923, the daughter of Gus and Clara Swindell Folmar.

She married Ardell Davis in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1966. She married O.B. Patridge in 1989. He preceded her in death in 1997.

Mrs. Davis was the retired owner of Lucy?s Caf? in Yantis. She was a member of County Line Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Davis and Mershell Davis, both of Yantis; two daughters, Diane Collins of Gladewater and Barbara Johnson of Lindale; seven grandchildren, Tommy Wayne Davis, Shannon Davis, Richard Johnson, Mark Collins, Jason Johnson, Sherry Penson and Ricky Davis; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Russell Collins and Donna Harlin; three brothers; and three sisters.

Memorials may be made to County Line Baptist Church.
