Golfers already signing up for April.s 19th annual Chamber tournament

March 6, 2008 - Registration forms are already being accepted for the upcoming Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce.s 19th Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for Friday, April 11, at Sulphur Springs Country Club.
Registration forms can currently be picked up at the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce offices, located at 1200 Houston St.
Registration forms can also be arranged to be mailed, faxed or e-mailed by calling the Chamber at 903-885-6515.
The 19th annual golf tournament, as has long been the tradition, will be a six-person scramble with two shotgun starts. The first golfers will tee off in the morning at 8 a.m., while the second round of competition will tee off at 1 p.m. that same afternoon.
While everything else is equal, those early risers who go to the trouble to take part in the morning round will get a discount for their extra effort. Morning teams can register for $50 per player (or $300 per team), while afternoon golfers can sign up for $60 each, or $360 per team. The entry fee covers carts and meal tickets, in addition to the tournament play.
The deadline to enter the tournament is Monday, March 24.
