July 11, 2008 - Pizza Inn, 1320 Mockingbird Lane, will celebrates 25 years of operating in Sulphur Springs with a customer appreciation day, set for next Tuesday, July 15, with discounted prices being offered throughout the day.
"This is just our way of thanking the community for supporting us for so many years," said Joe Crouch, proprietor since 1994. "We invite everybody to come by."
Pizza orders, take out or dine in, will be $3 off, and the restaurant's buffet price will be $5 per person "tax and all."
"Our company's goal, mine and the Dodd family before me, all we ever wanted to do was create a clean family restaurant and strive for good food and good service at a fair price," said Crouch of the Pizza Inn that opened its doors locally in 1983 as the Dallas-based Pizza Inn chain was celebrating its 25th anniversary. "Now here we are celebrating another 25 years."
New to the team of 48 employees are Alan and Kim Screws, who bought into Crouch's business in 2006.
Pizza Inns span the nation and are found internationally. With more than 360 stores, the Sulphur Springs location has been called "one of the most successful" by Pizza Inn President and CEO Tim Taft.
"We just want to express our appreciation to our customers from Hopkins County and the surrounding area," Crouch emphasized. "We appreciate their support."
