July 2, 2008 - A new logo is expected to grace the grounds of Sulphur Springs Country Club soon, and City Council members gave the design their nod of approval Tuesday.
The design echoes the city logo, designed by Harve Chapman and Bob Bond, who both spent many years in marketing, advertising and promotion, that was painted on the water tower at Coleman Park in 2007.
City Council members were asked to approve of the logo and did so Tuesday night.
In other business, the council appointed Becky Flippin to the Downtown Revitalization Board; approved establishing a reinvestment zone for Owens Foods Inc.; approved an agreement with Hopkins County for a Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone downtown; and authorized an approval for grant funding through the state agriculture department for the downtown revitalization program.
