Augsut 7, 2008 - Do you like to sing in the shower? Do you sing along with the car radio? Do you watch "American Idol" and think, "I could do that?'

Well, now's your chance to show off your vocal talents.

On Saturday, the Northeast Texas Choral Society is holding auditions for their fall season.

"I'll be hearing voice parts on Saturday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.," said Carol Allen, music director for the group "No one needs to be afraid. These are singer-friendly, low stress auditions. No prepared solos are necessary."

Auditions will be held in the choir suite at First United Methodist Church. No appointments are necessary.

During the fall season, the group meets each Monday evening at FUMC for rehearsals. Their annual concert is the first weekend in December. This year's show is called "White Christmas."
