State health dept. offering limited flu vaccines

Sept 24, 2007 - The Texas Department of State Health Services, 1400 College St., Suite 167,  will offer a limited amount of flu vaccine this year beginning Monday, Sept. 24, through Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Beginning Monday, Oct. 1, the office will be open for flu shots Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for the first three weeks of October, and then again the first weeks of November while the supply lasts. 

A $10 donation is asked per individual, or $20 per family. 

The Health Service office is currently out of the pneumonia vaccine but a delivery is expected soon. There will also be a $10 donation assessed for pneumonia shots.

No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
