Free program Sat. designed to reduce risk of abductions

Nov 2, 2007 - Those who are concerned about "stranger danger" will get a kick out of a free program offered to youngsters Saturday.

Sulphur Springs ATA Black Belt Academy, in partnership with, is holding a free “Kidz ‘n’ Power Open House” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The free program covers break-away techniques, stranger warning signs, tips to deal with bullies and Internet safety precautions. Certified instructors will be teaching this information free of charge.

The goal is to reduce or eliminate the risk of child and teen-age abduction in Hopkins County. There is no obligation to sign up for martial arts classes to attend.
