Empty Stocking donations exceed $9,400 in 5 weeks

Dec 30, 2007 - The Empty Stocking Program volunteers and the News-Telegram staff would like to say “Thank You!” to the following individuals that made donations to the program this week. Over five weeks, the donations have totaled just over $9,400.

Sulphur Springs Troop 66 Boy Scouts assisted the Empty Stocking program this year by collecting toys, games, etc. 2007 was the fifth straight year for the Scouts to help Empty Stocking.

Empty Stocking volunteers will being buying toys for Christmas 2008 next week, so donations are still more than welcome. If you have not made a donation and would like to do so to make sure no child has to go without a Christmas gift next year, fill out and return the donation coupon on Page 8A. Your message will be included in the next list of donations.
