Aug 10, 2007 - Residents who supported Pickton-Pine Forest Volunteer Fire Department's most recent fundraiser will have two opportunities to have their picture made. Those who still want to participate in the photo fundraiser may do so, as well.
The sale of photographed portraits was met with much success, with the photo drive netting about $4,300 to help fund a new rescue truck, PPFVFD Chief Mark Sustaire said Tuesday.
Its going really well, Sustaire said. "We want to thank everybody that supported this fundraiser. The money will be used to help buy the new rescue truck were going to put in service. We hope to have it ready some time this fall."
Those who did take advantage of the opportunity to purchase the 11x14-inch family portraits for $30 each, offered through JBT Marketing Inc., should plan to have their portrait made on one of the next two Sundays.
The first photo session will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at Pine Forest Community Center. The second photo session will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, at the Pine Forest fire station.
Those who have their portrait made on Sunday, Aug. 12, can also select which view they want during the second session on Aug. 19.
Also, anyone who missed the PPFVFD representatives when they were offering the portraits can still have their photo made by making their donation during one of the two photo sessions.
