FFA Auction set Saturday

Apr. 25, 2007 - Sulphur Springs High School's FFA Chapter Saturday will be auctioning their shop projects at Hopkins County Regional Civic Center this weekend.

The slate of activities Saturday includes the annual project show, ice cream supper and the auction.

The project show will begin at 11 a.m. with the items on display. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday will be an old fashioned ice cream supper. While patrons are enjoying the cool treats, the auction will begin, starting at 6 p.m.

This year's list of auction items includes fare for hunters, families, farmers, men and women, gardeners, children and card enthusiasts. Among the shop projects will be picnic tables, grills, deer stands, gates, plants, plant stands, a barbecue pit, swings, wind chimes, bunk beds, home decor, traps, 3-point movers, benches, T-post drivers, a 12-foot gazebo, card tables and even three brand new Lincoln wire feed welders.
