|Rural-Urban fall banquet planned for October 23|

Oct. 13, 2006 - The Rural-Urban Association has scheduled a meeting for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Como-Pickton school.
The meeting will feature a free barbecue dinner with all the trimmings and should provide for a fun and relaxing evening.
Rural-Urban organizers ask that those plannint to attend to please bring two or three more people with them to mix and mingle with other guests.
The program will be presented by Como-Pickton school district.
Rural-Urban banquets have been held for more than 40 years and were created to generate a better relationship between the citizens of Hopkins County. The very first Rural-Urban meeting was held Nov. 12, 1964, at Cumby High School. More than 300 people attended.
