|Property management corp. earns USDA award|

Oct. 5, 2006 - The brother and sister team of Marlon Sullivan and Jina Sullivan-Hamm have been awarded the 2006 Texas USDA Rural Development Management Company of the year.
Marlon and Jina are the owners of MJS Management Inc., a professional property management firm based in Linden. MJS manages approximately 1,000 apartment units for senior citizens and families located primarily in Sulphur Springs and other cities of Northeast Texas, West Texas and the Panhandle area.
MJS Management Inc. manages Primrose Estates on League Street in Sulphur Springs. They also manage Quitman Square and Winnsboro Square Communities located on Richards Street in Quitman and McKinney Street in Winnsboro. Kim Gist is the property manager.
USDA based the selection on "excellent curb appeal of all of their properties, prompt submission of reports, above average in maintaining and addressing servicing requests and always cooperating with all local USDA offices and State office staff."
Marlon and Jina gave praise to their excellent property management staff and great residents for helping to make the award possible.
Marlon and Jina's parents are Winston and Judy Sullivan of Linden and they are partners with their parents in the Sullivan Companies where they literally "grew up" in the business. The Sullivan Companies was founded 35 years ago in Linden by Winston and Judy Sullivan.
they have specialized in the ownership, design, construction, and operation of affordable housing for senior citizens and families in Rural Texas. The majority of the properties were made possible by USDA financing.
