QuckBooks class offered at PJC

July 23, 2006 -- A "QuickBooks" class will be held Tuesdays and Fridays, August 1-11, 8 a.m. to noon, at Paris Junior College in the Bobby R. Walters Applied Technology building on Clarksville Street. The fee for this workshop is $118.

Learn to use one of the most popular business accounting programs on the market today. Participants will learn to set up and maintain a chart of accounts, reconcile checking accounts, create and print invoices, receipts, and statements, track payables, inventory and receivables, create estimates and generate reports. QuickBooks software can also be used to process payroll quickly and easily.

This course details all the steps needed for proper setup, and even includes troubleshooting tips and solutions for common problems and mistakes.

Prerequisites include computer experience and basic accounting. The instructor is Rudy Slusher, QuickBooks professional and counselor with the PJC Small Business Development Center. To register, contact the PJC Continuing Education Department at 903-784-0447.
