Executive sessions called for Tuesday SSISD board meeting
Sensitive personnel and property matters to be discussed
From Staff Reports

Jan. 16, 2006 - Aside from an executive sessions for personnel matters, only two other items were listed on Tuesday’s Sulphur Springs Independent School District Board of Education agenda.

During the administrative reports and information portion of the school board meeting, school trustees are slated to receive an update on asbestos removal and future plans at Sulphur Springs High School.

Following that report, the school board is then slated to interview a prospective candidate for the construction manager at risk for the bond projects which include a number of repairs and updates at the high school as well as an addition at Early Childhood Learning Center.

The meeting is slated to conclude Tuesday with an executive session, a private session closed to the public, so school officials can discuss and consider any sensitive personnel matters and/or property matters. One of the items school officials indicated recently to be considered during that meeting are candidates for the athletic director’s post.

The board will then reconvene in an open session following that meeting to discuss and possibly take action on matters considerred behind closed doors.

The special called meeting of SSISD Board of Education begins at 12 noon Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the board room of SSISD Administration Building, 631 Connally St.
