|Wednesday is deadline to adopt HCSA angels|
|From Staff Reports|
Dec. 11, 2006 - Hopkins County Salvation Army has received requests this year from more families needing assistance in providing Christmas for their children than at any other time in recent years, HCSA Chairman Jo Marie Neal said Monday morning.
As of this weekend, there were still a few names left on the Angel Trees, located in VF Outlet Mall and in Wal-Mart. If the angels are not adopted by the deadline on Wednesday, then HCSA will have to use a portion of the donations made through its kettle drive, which is still ongoing, to purchase gifts for those children.
Anyone who has adopted an angel is asked to please make sure those gifts are returned to the Angel Tree locations no later than Wednesday.
Monetary donations to help support HCSA and its annual operations may also be mailed to 1702 South Broadway St., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
Gift distribution to those benefiting from the Angel Tree program is from 9 a.m. to 12 noon Dec. 19, at Vanity Fair Factory Outlet, in front of Kitchen Collection.
