|Two SSHS students named to Region IV Treble Choir|

Oct. 26, 2005 -- Two students were selected Saturday to represent Sulphur Springs High School next month as members of the Region IV Treble Choir, making them the third and fourth students from SSHS selected to perform at the Region Choir Clinic and Concert.
Senior Laura McCoy was selected to the treble choir following Saturday's tryouts at Gladewater High School, and was ranked ninth in the region in the Soprano I section. The Nov. 5 concert will mark the third year McCoy has been selected to the region choir, according to SSHS Choral Director Jerry Bradley.
Randi Ruthart was also selected as first alternate in the Soprano I section of the Treble Choir.
McCoy and Ruthart will join seniors Brandon Woolley and Jessica Lewis, who are members of the Region Mixed Choir, at the region concert next month in Mount Pleasant.
Earlier this month, Woolley was ranked number three in region in the Bass I section and Jessica Lewis was ranked 14th in Alto II, following auditions at Gilmer High School.
The Region Choir Clinic and Concert, sponsored by the Texas Music Educators Association, will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, in Mount Pleasant.
