Grand jury indicts 56 people
More than half of charges involved drugs

Oct. 11, 2005 A Hopkins County grand jury concluded its September session by handing up 68 felony indictments naming 56 individuals.

Of the indictments returned, 24 alleged possession of a controlled substance, 11 were for possession of marijuana, and eight involved sexual offenses against children. Other offenses included forgery, criminal mischief, arson and burglary. The indictments include:
