|Bake sales set, donations being taken for softball team's trip to state tourney|

June 29, 2005 -- The Hopkins County Angels National All-Stars are about to really get cooking.
The softball team, which won the district tournament June 21, is headed to the state tournament in Sherman, which begins Friday, July 15.
To help pay for the costs of the trip, three bake sales have been scheduled over the next nine days.
The first will be Friday beginning at 9 a.m. in front of Alliance Bank. The second will take place starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Wal-Mart Supercenter. The third scheduled bake sale will be held in the lobby of City National Bank on Mockingbird Lane starting at 9 a.m. Friday, July 8.
The National All-Stars head coach is Lisa McCaig. Assistant coaches are John McCullough and Danny Stewart. Team members are Cydnee Devereaux, Hailey Dixon, Courtney Dunlap, Mary Lopez, Cassidy Luna, Enlin Mantha, Lexi McCaig, Meagan McCullough, Katie Stewart, Jamie Waldrop, Kirstie Wallace and Samantha Ward. Anyone wishing to make donations to help offset the costs of the trip can contact McCaig at 903-885-9734.
Should the team emerge victorious from the state tournament, the Dixie Softball World Series play will begin July 30 in Dothan, Ala.
