|Wildflower Knitting Camp set for Aug. 5-6|

July 2, 2005 - The Wildflower Knitting Camp at Camp Tyler in August would be a great opportunity for 4-H'ers to have fun and to experience some new things. If interested contact Texas Cooperative Extension Office, Hopkins County at (903) 885-3443 or come by at 228 Hinnant St.
If knitting is your "bag," you are invited to "tote" your knitting needles and join with the Wildflower committee and other knitting enthusiasts for stimulating and fun workshops.
WHAT: Workshops include beginning knitting, knitted and felted purses, fun fur embellished sandals, tote bags knitted from fabric strips, knitting ganseys (intermediate to advanced). Knit a pillow top or bag using cables and beautiful stitch patterns.
WHAT ELSE? Fashion show, gallery of the artists work, demonstrations, swimming, good food, movie, field trip and games.
Workshops, meals and lodging are provided at eautiful Camp Tyler for both days and for Friday night.
DETAILS: Camp starts at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, and ends at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. Cost is $45 each and includes almost all supplies, all food and lodging at Camp Tyler. Attendance is limited to 40. Swimming will be available before dinner on Friday evening. A lifeguard will be present, but parents should plan to swim with or watch their children.
