Grand jury focuses on drug cases
Majority of November indictments for narcotics

Dec. 1, 2005 -Felony drug indictments occupied the majority of Hopkins County grand jury's November session, according to the office of District Attorney Martin Braddy.

Of the 36 true bills handed up by the grand jury, 16 were for possession of marijuana and another 11 cases involved possession of a controlled substances. The remainder of the indictments were for offenses ranging from evading arrest, hindering apprehension, credit card abuse and forgery.

The indictments include:

When someone is indicted by a grand jury, they are merely charged with a crime. It should not be considered as evidence of either guilt or innocence.
