The Ringlers, along with State Trooper Stan Avery and his 11-year-old son, Jake, died after an 18-wheeler crashed into their vehicle on Interstate 30 west about 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The driver of the truck, William T. Ledford, 56, was also killed in the crash.

Three other people died in a separate accident on I-30 Sunday. DelFino Bautista, 46, and his wife, Hortencia Martinez Bautista, 41, and their daughter, Hilda Bautista, 21, all of Sulphur Springs were killed after a rear tire apparently blew out, sending their vehicle out of control. The vehicle overturned and landed in the center median.

The couple's three other children were also injured in the wreck but their injuries were not life-threatening. They are reportedly under the care of local family members.

A memorial fund for the Bautista family has been established at City National Bank in Sulphur Springs. Donations may be made to the Bautista Memorial Fund at the bank, located at 201 Connally St. Call 903-885-7523 for more information.
